STYROFOAM™ Brand Spray Polyurethane Foam (SPF) (CM Series)

STYROFOAM™ Brand Spray Polyurethane Foam (CM Series) is a two-component, spray-applied polyurethane foam that creates a seamless, monolithic barrier for protection against water vapor and air on the interior of steel stud walls. This closed-cell, 2-pcf spray foam successfully incorporates the Enovate 3000 blowing agent from Honeywell.

High performance STYROFOAM™ Brand Extruded Polystyrene (XPS) Foam Insulation and STYROFOAM™ Brand Spray Polyurethane Foam Insulation help to increase building energy efficiency above and beyond conventional wall systems such as un-insulated sheathing and fiberglass cavity batts.

R-Value: In a typical wood-framed home, continuous foam insulation can improve a wall system’s R-value by as much as 32%.1 In steel-framed construction, the improvement can be even greater.

Heat Flow: In a series of residential wall panel tests conducted by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Research Center in 2005 and 2006, foam insulation reduced heat flow by an average of 18% to 25% versus fiberglass batts.2

Carbon Footprint: A life-cycle analysis conducted by McKinsey and Company found that every unit of CO2 used to make rigid foam insulation saves more than 233 units of CO2.3
